Hi there @ATurnerEW— thanks so much for reaching out. That’s a great question!
At the moment, DocuSign doesn’t have a feature that can automatically clear or remove completed initials or any assigned fields once recipient has already filled them in. Even as the sender, you wont be able to remove initials or signatures after they've been completed, since DocuSign locks those fields to maintain the integrity and legality of the document.
I also tested the Conditional Fields and Conditional Routing features. Unfortunately, neither of them can achieve the workflow you’re aiming for in this scenario.
The easiest I'd recommend:
Set up a signing order and send to Person A and B as “Needs to View” instead of “Needs to Sign.” This lets them review and give their approval internally without placing any permanent initials that would show later.
Then add yourself (as the sender) in the middle of the signing order. This gives you a chance to make any corrections or adjustments before the envelope continues to the next recipients for signature.
📌Heads up: Some features discussed may be exclusive to certain Docusign plans. To confirm features available in your current plan, connect with your account administrator or explore our Plans and Pricing for more details Compare eSignature plans & pricing.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have questions—we're here for you!
Sincerely,
