Dear all,

Hope you are well

Do you if the signed document and the certificate (PDF format) could be considered as format for long term archiving?

Currently I passed the document to PDF/A but the electronic seal is broken and it is not cosidered the original record anymore.

Do you know if in the future DoucuSign will render documents as PDF/A?

Thanks in advance

Hello @esandov,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Docusign Community—great to have you here

Currently, DocuSign supports PDF/A conversion and compliance, but there are no specific details regarding future enhancements or changes to this feature. The existing functionality allows for the archiving of PDF/A documents.

To enable, from the Admin > Sending Settings > check “Enable PDF/A Conversion and Compliance”

Here’s a helpful resource with more details: 👉 PDF/A Conversion and Compliance

I hope this helps clarify things! If you found this response helpful, feel free to give it a like or mark it as the best answer. Let us know if you have any further questions
