When you Use a template a new envelope will be generated with those 10 documents. You can remove the documents from the generated envelope. That will not remove the documents from the template.

Thank you! I will give it a try. The documents are all very intricate with lots of fields so I  didn’t want to risk deleting it from the template and having to redo that work. I figured it was safer to ask first. I appreciate the reply!
