I have contracts and work Authorizations that can be 2k pages with blueprints and pictures. How are others handling this as we cannot be the only ones. Let me preface by saying I am new to the product.
Hello
Thank you for reaching out and becoming a part of the Docusign Community. Your presence here is not just appreciated, it's essential. We value your contribution and look forward to sharing our knowledge with you.
I understand your question about the 25 MB file size limitation, as you are concerned about your files, which can be 2000 pages long with blueprints and pictures. Rest assured that I will make my best effort to answer your question.
To clarify, do you mean the maximum size of a completed envelope or the maximum size a sender uploads when sending an envelope?
The 25-MB maximum file size limit refers to the maximum size of an individual file uploaded to an envelope (when sending). This means you can upload separate files to an envelope of 25 MB. However, given your concern about files that can be 2000 pages long with blueprints and pictures, it's important to note that the recommended file size per upload is 5mb for best performance, and the maximum pages per document/upload is 2000 pages (not more than that). More information here: File Size Limitations for an Envelope
MAXIMUM FILE SIZE | 25 MB |
RECOMMENDED FILE SIZE | 5 MB |
MAXIMUM # PAGES PER DOCUMENT | 2,000 pages |
MAXIMUM # PAGES PER ENVELOPE | 5,000 pages |
Here are my recommendations:
- Flattening your document: Go to File > Print, and select Adobe PDF or Foxit PDF as the printer. Choose the option to Shrink to Printable Area and click Ok. Remember that if you have active form fields in your document, they will be flattened. Detailed instructions can be found here.
- Splitting the document and uploading it separately. Article: How do I send a Docusign document?
- If you have a Docusign enhanced plan, an Administrator can open a Support case to check if they can request to increase the file size limit. This could be a plan add-on.
To open a support case in the Docusign Support Center, go to the "Get Support" section and select "Open a Support Case.” Log in using your Docusign credentials and select a case subject. If you have multiple Docusign accounts, choose the appropriate account to continue. Open a case in the Docusign Support Center.
Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account. Or, visit our Plans and Pricing web page for more details on the features included with your plan. Compare eSignature plans & pricing.
