Hello, I am new here and I wanted to get a copy of the document i signed a couple months ago but the link on the email i was sent has expired so i cannot access the document. I am the recipient and from my understanding of similar questions, it is only the sender/admin that could help me access it. However i also read that the account plan i have (free) could be reason because it might not support some advanced options. I was wondering if i upgraded to the “personal” plan i would be able to access that document from a couple months ago. My old admin does not work with the company anymore so i don’t know who to contact.

Thanks for the help, Rafael

Hi @Rafael Herazo,

Welcome to the Docusign Community—we're glad you're here and happy to share knowledge with you.

We understand the importance of retrieving your document, and we're here to provide guidance and help you navigate through this.

Please check a separate email for the completion notification, which should indicate that the envelope was completed. If not found, try the expired link again. A "SEND NEW LINK" button might appear. This button, when selected, triggers a new email notification to be sent to you. If the envelope is completed, you will receive the completed email notification. If no SEND NEW LINK option is present, the envelope was likely not yet completed, expired, or voided.

FAQ: Email link expiration

You can also directly check your DocuSign account for the envelope. Utilize the filter functions, as the default view only displays items from the last six months. This process does not require a paid DocuSign plan. If the envelope is not found in your DocuSign account, it indicates that it was likely sent directly to your email address.

Hope it helps. If nothing works, feel free to share the security code via personal message so we can check the status of the envelope and provide specific advice. Here's how to obtain that 👉 How do I find an Envelope ID as a recipient/signer?
