I have a doc that need to be viewed by Party B, and then signed by Party C.

I only have the email address of Party B. I want B to 1) able to review it, 2) if no issue after review, then being able to distribute the Letter to C freely and have C sign on it. Is it doable?

Further more, Party B plays a role of “mediator” here so there will be a lot of different final signer (Party C, D, E ,etc), is it feasible to send all the document together to B and have B forward them separately, or does it have to be done in individual envelop at the beginning?

@Sophia W

Yes, this is possible when using a manager recipient type. In your case this would be the “Specify recipients” role. If you cannot see this role, please ask your Docusign Administrator to enable it for your Docusign account in the Sending Settings - Recipient Roles.

This Docusign Support article has additional information.

@Michael.Rave Thank you! I didn’t realized that the final signer’s address can be left empty.

and a follow-up question on that: what if the final signer C is a required, but signer D is optional, how do I determine the number of the final recipients? is there an optional field? or if Party B can put as many recipients as they like? (I only see one emails per input)

@Sophia W

"Update recipients" allows a user to add new recipients to the workflow, whereas "Specify recipients" lets them assign individuals to pre-defined roles on the envelope.
