How do I post a document with working links to other documents?

We have a Master Agreement which is referred to in our document and there is a "link" in the document that should take the signers to that other document. Can this be done and if so how? Thank you!

You can create a Hyperlink in a DocuSign field and add it to the document in the envelope as outlined here...

These hyperlinks basically open a new browser window to that externally available webpage or document.

@Laura Monteleone Please review the following article, the field you created does not follow the rules necessary for that field to be a Hyperlink.

Hi David,

thanks for the quick reply. I followed it exactly all over again but I dont know what I'm doing wrong. I realized that maybe I needed to add "#HREF_" before? which i did now, but still doesn't work. Can you let me know what you noticed that I did wrong?Screen Shot 2022-02-09 at 12.11.41 PMScreen Shot 2022-02-09 at 12.11.30 PM

The Name must be set to #HREF_DocuSignSupport. This is a requirement for the field to work properly. You cannot add you own field name after the #HREF. You can create multiple custom fields with that same Name and need to unfortunately differentiate and pick the correct field when placing on the document.

thank you!!! it works! It wasn't totally clear that I had to write exactly that, I thought it was just an example.

Glad its working. There is definitely room for improvement on this Hyperlink ability especially so you can more easily differentiate but at least it works.
