I’ve created a template, and I want the document name to change based on the name of one of the signers (who has a role). Is that possible?

Hello @Lucia VB,

Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Docusign Community! I appreciate you bringing your question to this Community.

Unfortunately, there is no direct or built-in feature within Docusign that allows you to dynamically change the document name based on a signer’s name after the template has been created.

However, if you want to personalize the email subject, you can use merge fields to include the signers' information. This allows you to dynamically populate the subject with details like the signer's name.

You may check this link for more information: Use Merge Fields in the Template Email Subject to Customize Envelopes

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account.
