Hello.

A colleague created his own account (in trial). I would like to disactivate it and create him under the company profile.

Please guide

Hi @Umwali Diane,

Thank you for reaching out, and a warm welcome to the Docusign Community! We're grateful for your question and happy to share our knowledge!

From what I understand, a user had set up a personal account (free trial), and you are seeking guidance on deactivating it and creating a new account for the user under the company account instead. Great question!

Here are your options:

Option 1: If you're Organization claimed the domain, the Docusign Admin (Org Admin) may have the option to evict external domain user accounts. This action would close the user account and will no longer have access to the account or any documents within the account. For detailed instructions, including screenshots, please refer to the comprehensive guide:👉Personal Account Eviction: How do I deal with unwanted accounts on my claimed domain?.

📌Heads up:

  • The Docusign Administrator (Org Admin) can evict free external accounts only. External accounts with a paid subscription can only be closed by an Administrator of that account.
  • If you want to prevent users from creating personal accounts using the claimed domain in the future, you may enable the "Prevent Unmanaged Sign-ups". 👉 Signup Settings

Option 2: Contact the user directly to request that they close their Docusign account. 👉Cancel Your Subscription or Close your Docusign Account

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account. Or, visit our Plans and Pricing web page for more details on the features included with your plan. Compare eSignature plans & pricing.
