We are using Docusign Apps Launcher.

I have a DocuSign Gen Template where I want to put text box fields that are NOT merge fields. I want them assigned to the first signer in my DocuSign Envelope Template.

I do not see how I can create the field tag in DocuSign Apps launcher without anchoring it to a field in Salesforce. This is not a field that is currently in Salesforce, and we don’t need it to be, we just want it on the template.

On the Word document I put \name_1_text\ and \nameparent_1_text\.

When I go to send the document, I do not see these fields pulled into the template assigned to signer 1. Is this possible to have just a text box field on the Word Gen Template and have the fields assigned to signer 1 in the Envelope template?

Hello @etemkin1

Upon checking, yes, it is possible. You just need to go to Docusign -> Admin -> Document Custom Field. You create a custom field here, and in the "auto-place field," they add their anchor with the format \name_{r}_text\ (exactly this way). In the document, they will replace the {r} with the recipient’s corresponding number, so  \name_1_text\.
