Copying signatures and initials for multiple signers

We understand you’re looking for an easier way to copy signatures and initials for multiple signers to save time. Happy to help out!

One simple option is to highlight the fields, copy and paste them, and then reassign them to each signer. Another great time‑saver is Autoplace. It automatically places fields based on text strings already in your document.

Example: Initial Every Page
Let’s say you have a purchase agreement that requires the recipient to initial every page. If your document already includes the phrase “Initial Here” wherever initials should go, you can use Autoplace to have DocuSign automatically drop the Initial field in all those spots. Just enter “Initial Here” as the matching text string when adding your Initial field.

Quick note: The text must already exist in your document before you upload it to DocuSign. If you don’t want it visible, you can make it transparent before uploading. System will still detect and correctly place the fields. For multiple recipients, Autoplace assigns the fields to one recipient by default, so you'll need to reassign them if needed.
