I am preparing a template with a long contract document.

In the beginning the details of the contract partner will be given (through a web form) to the template fields.

One of the fields is “postal code and place”.

16 pages later the signatures will be given. Could we extract the place from above, copy it and paste it her automatically? If so, how?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @manfon ,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Docusign Community.

My apologies, I don’t really understand what you mean by “Could we extract the place from above, copy it and paste it her automatically?”, can you provide more detail? I understand you have a document in which the recipient has to enter information on a Web Form.

Were do you need to ‘paste’ the information?

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Hello Nathaly,

Apologies for my unclear communication. Let me try to explain it better:

We have text field A: “postal code and place”.

This field will be filled out by a Webform.

Then, we have text field B“place”.

Can we take “place” A to B, so “place” doesn’t need to be entered twice?

Hello @manfon ,

Thank you for reaching back and for your clarification.

So, you need information from one field to populate in other fields across the document. If so, I can gladly help.

You can accomplish this by going to your needed template and edit it, being within the document you would need to edit the fields by adding the same Data Label and therefore creating a link between them. For example, if you have two fields that needs an address but one field is on document A and the other one on document D you would need to change the Data Label of both fields to Address, and that would populate the information from one to the other: Troubleshoot data replicating in multiple fields on an envelope

Once you have that saved you can create a new Webform.

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.
