I opened a document I received and when I clicked the Close button it went straight to saying I’ve signed it and all is done?? I didn’t intend to sign it at all?

Hi @Hdhdjdjfbf8272773,

Thank you for connecting with the Docusign Community. We are pleased to welcome you.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the recent document. We apologize for the inconvenience, and I’m happy to help.

Typically, closing the document alone should not complete the signing process. However, this depends on the recipient's role in the envelope. For example, if you were assigned as a recipient who only needs to view or acknowledge the document, no signing action may have been required. The same applies to the CC’d recipient; no action is required, and once the document is opened or reviewed, it is considered complete. To help us investigate further, could you please send us the envelope ID via private message? If you’re unsure where to find it, you can refer to this article: Locate a Docusign envelope ID

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
