Can I send envelopes out for signature from a shared mailbox?

If by “shared mailbox” you mean an email address such as “contract@company.com” that is used by multiple people, could you clarify whether you’re asking if that shared mailbox can be set up as the DocuSign sender/user, or if you’re asking whether an individual DocuSign user can use Shared Access to send envelopes on behalf of another DocuSign user?

If you mean the latter, Shared Access allows a user to send envelopes on behalf of another DocuSign user, subject to the account’s permissions and settings.

I mean the former, the group of people sending externally from an account, for example “hr@company.com”.

We are already aware of Shared Access and we have another query open on the community for that.

Can you segregate private confidential envelopes for signing from envelopes in a shared access folder? | Community

We will be testing the shared account approach, we are unsure if it will work with templates yet. It does feel like a workaround to something that should be available in the platform as a feature.

We are also waiting on a Docusign technical consultant to meet with us.
