Hi everyone,

When recipients open a document in DocuSign, they see a Download button on the right-hand side of the signing page (screenshot attached).

I’m wondering if it’s possible to:

  • Disable or hide the Download option for recipients, but only for specific templates (not globally across the account).

  • Or, if that’s not possible, whether there are any recommended best practices to prevent recipients from downloading certain documents before completing the signing process.

Has anyone implemented something like this using template settings, recipient permissions, or API parameters?

You can create a specific Brand with those options and assign it to the Templates that you want that feature enabled.
