Adding email hyperlink to documents

Hi, I am trying to add an email address in my document and would like it to act as a hyperlink to email, is this function available?

I know how to add a hyperlink to a site in the document, and added an email address the same way using #HREF, but this does not work for email. Should I be using something different to indicate email?

Thank you

Hi Christopher,

This was in a Production account.

I have now got this to work, as you advise above the email link is now clickable in both the signing session and the completed document. The difference being, as I said previously, when clicked in the signing session it takes the signer to the website associated with the email address. When clicking the completed document it does open an email to send.

Also, I should add, with hyperlinks to websites, these only work in the signing session, not the completed document. I have worked around this by using both the hyperlink in the original pdf used and also the hyperlink from docusign in two columns, with the docusign link as the name of the site. This way the person signing can click either while signing or on the completed document.

Thank you for your assistance :)

Hi Mehul,

As I advised above, the email link will not work while in the signing session, but it will work in the final signed document.

Hey CMC073,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I’m experiencing the same. Is this deduced by you ?

Is this confirmed by Docusign ? Is this documented by Docusign in their support docs ? If yes, could you please send me the link ?

Regards,

Hi,

This is only deduced by me, I was unable to get an answer from Docusign and could not find anything in supporting documents.
