Accessing Signed Document and Certificate of Completion for a Voided Envelope

Question

We have a DocuSign workflow with six signers. The envelope is first sent to the primary owner, and after they sign, it is sent simultaneously to five joint owners. A 48-hour auto-void policy is configured.

For example, after the primary owner signs, the five joint owners receive the envelope at the same time. If three of the joint owners complete signing while the remaining two have not signed, and the envelope is then voided, I have the following questions:

Even though the envelope has been voided, is it still possible to retrieve the signed document for the recipients who completed signing before the envelope was voided?
Is the Certificate of Completion still available for a voided envelope? If so, does it include the signing activity of the recipients who signed before the envelope was voided?

If other people have the same question, it’s easier to find all of the relevant information if it’s centralized in one place!Can you retrieve the signed document after voiding?Yes -- even after an envelope is voided, the sender (and account admins) can still view, download, and print the documents. Here's how:From the Manage page, locate the envelope with "Voided" statusClick the envelope name to open the Details viewClick the Download icon at the top and select the files you wantThe documents will have a "VOID" watermark toindicating they are no longer legally binding. Any signatures collected prior to voiding are considered invalid. Recipients who had already completed their signing can also still access the documents (with the VOID watermark).Is the Certificate of Completion available?Yes --based on current behavior, voided envelopes should generate a Certificate of Completion that includes signing activity. You can verify this by navigating to the voided envelope's Details view and checking whether the CoC is available for download.If it is, it should show the signing activity for the primary owner and the three joint owners who completed their signing, along with the envelope's voided status.To see the full timeline of events including the void trigger, check the Envelope History.Important caveatWhile you can retrieve the documents and CoC, remember that the envelope as a whole is not legally valid once voided. The documents with signatures and the CoC serve as a record of what happened, but they don't constitute a completed, binding agreement.
