Agreement Rules No Longer Working

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone else is struggling with the update to Agreement Rules since they became “Powered By Maestro.” All my old rules that aren’t “Powered By Maestro” are working great, they upload things to my Google Drive and upload to the connected Google Sheet with no issue. Now though I’ve had nothing but issues. The Rules aren’t working even when all the conditions are met, the agreements won’t auto upload and the export data to a Google Sheet is the most egregious. The Raw Data tab doesn’t appear, the information doesn’t seem to be connecting at all anymore.

Not sure why the Rules needed to be connected with Maestro when Maestro is a Workflow system and the Rules are simple automations. This is really breaking a lot of the systems my team has in place. If anyone else has experienced this and has any solutions (like how to make Rules not powered by Maestro) please let me know. Or if the team at DocuSign would be able to help revoke the update too until it works better…

Thanks!

Hello @Mellow

Thank you for reaching out here in the Docusign Community! It’s great to have you here. I understand that you are having issues with cloud archiving and spreadsheet export using Agreement Actions, specifically those that are “Powered By Maestro”. We know how important this process is to your workflow, and we are happy to assist.

To clarify, when you save an Agreement rule that uses an Archive to, Docusign creates and publishes a system workflow in Maestro that represents that rule. This conversion happens automatically:

• The rule appears in the Agreement Rules list in the Agreement Actions Admin view, using the same configuration UI you use today.
• In the Agreement Rules list, these rules are labeled to indicate they are powered by Maestro.
• The underlying Maestro system workflow:
Does not appear in your Maestro Workflows list.
Does not count against your standard Maestro workflow allowance.

From an administrator's perspective, you still create and manage a "rule." Behind the scenes, Maestro is now responsible for running it.

However, to better assist you, we suggest creating a case with us: https://support.docusign.com/s/contactSupport?language=en_US. Once created, you can request a share screen session or provide sample envelopes or templates used for your Agreement Actions. We have a dedicated support team that can troubleshoot this issue in real time.

Please check this article: Agreement Actions and Workflow-Powered Rules

Thank you, and have a great day ahead!

Hi Luke,

Met with the team today and wanted to share here for others visibility. Agreement Action Rules only work for Admin level users currently since they are powered by Maestro. That’s why they weren’t working.

Hi @Mellow,

Thank you for sharing this valuable update here in the community!

We agree with your findings. Agreement Actions powered by Docusign Maestro requires administrator-level permissions to deploy and execute. We appreciate you highlighting this information for the rest of the community members who may be troubleshooting similar workflow setups.

Have a great day ahead!
