I have a stable integration with SAP Ariba and our DocuSign implementation (OAuth 2.0). Now, the user account involved when setting up the integration having DocuSign DSAdmin permission has left the organization. I am being asked to close their account. Can I close this account without impacting the consent granted back when we did the initial implementation? Unfortunately, the SAP implementor that guided us through these steps originally is no longer available to our admin team.

  1. No, you should not close the original user account without taking action first. Doing so may break the integration.
  2. Have a new active DocuSign user (with DSAdmin or API permissions) reauthorize the integration by granting OAuth consent again.
  3. Update the integration with the new access and refresh tokens tied to this new user.
  4. Test the SAP Ariba-to-DocuSign connection to ensure it still works as expected.
  5. Once confirmed, you can safely close or deactivate the original user account without breaking the integration.
