Question

Simplify Docusign folder structure

We would like to simplify our Docusign folder structure and move to a more metadata driven way of navigation and document search. We also Docusign CLM for Salesforce which seems to require the creation of account and opportunity folders with the Account and Opportunity object mapping. Is there a way to avoid the creation of Opportunity folders and place documents from an opportunity into the Account folder?

Hello @saviolobo

Welcome to the Docusign Community!

By default, DocuSign CLM for Salesforce uses the configured object mappings and creates folders based on those relationships (for example, Account and Opportunity folders). However, if your goal is to simplify the folder structure and rely more on metadata-driven search and navigation, it may be possible to configure documents generated from Opportunities to be stored within the related Account folder instead of creating separate Opportunity folders.

And you can use workflow step “Create Folder” for that you first identify what will be the structure.

Thanks!
