We have a CLM workflow where we send out a document in draft mode, then later, send final draft. The users keep signing the DRAFT documents.
To solve this, I found the action/step to Add watermark to a document, but I could not find any way to remove that watermark.
I also thought I could make a copy of the document first, then watermark it, but if the user made changes, I wouldn’t be able to get them back to the original.
Does anyone know of a way to remove the watermark for a document in CLM Workflow?

In CLM Workflow, once a watermark is applied to a document, there isn't currently a native action to remove it directly from the same document version. Unfortunately, this means you can’t just toggle the watermark on and off within the same file.
A few potential workarounds to consider:
Use Watermarked Copies for Drafts: Instead of applying the watermark to the working document, create a copy specifically for review purposes. This keeps the original intact for future edits and avoids having to remove the watermark later.
Track Revisions Separately: Encourage users to comment or suggest changes rather than directly editing the draft, which allows you to merge necessary edits back into the original clean version later.
Final Version Control: As part of your workflow, restrict signing permissions to only the final approved version. You can add a workflow step to disable signing on drafts or apply conditional rules based on document status.
