Hi everyone,

My team has been performing several workflow tests in our CLM sandbox/UAT environment, and we now have dozens of test workflows that need to be aborted.

Is there any supported way to bulk abort multiple CLM workflows at once, either through an API, automation, or another available feature?

We are open to any recommended approach. At the moment, we don't have a specific criterion for identifying the workflows yet, so we'd also appreciate any guidance on how to efficiently identify and abort these test workflows in bulk.

If anyone has implemented something similar, I would appreciate any examples, API endpoints, or recommendations.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @rrsouza10

Welcome to the Docusign Community!

Currently, Docusign CLM does not provide a supported out-of-the-box capability to bulk abort workflows. Workflows typically need to be aborted individually to maintain workflow integrity and ensure that each workflow's state, audit history, and related actions are handled correctly.

Additionally, there are limited filtering options available to easily identify a large set of workflows for bulk termination, so identifying and aborting test workflows can be challenging if they were not tagged or categorized beforehand.

As an alternative, Docusign CLM does provide a Workflow Purge capability. Once workflows are in a Completed, Failed, or Aborted status, the workflow data can be automatically purged based on the configured purge schedule. Administrators can configure this schedule according to business requirements, which helps maintain overall system performance and health.

Thanks!
