Hello,

We have a DocuSign account we use for an eSignatures integration in Workday and it is not linked to the organization account. I have been asked to link our HR account to the Organization account and I am not sure whether this will impact the integration we have set up on this account.

Does anyone know if linking 2 corporate accounts has any impact on integrations?

Thanks,

Ana

Linking your HR DocuSign account to your organization account generally does not impact existing integrations, such as your eSignature integration with Workday. Here’s why:

  1. Integrations Remain Active: When you link an account to an organization in DocuSign, it doesn’t alter the account’s settings, APIs, or configurations already established for integrations. This linking is primarily administrative and is meant to help consolidate management across multiple DocuSign accounts in the same organization, like sharing billing and security policies across linked accounts.

  2. Access and Permissions: The integration permissions and API keys linked to your HR account should continue to work without disruption. However, after linking, organization admins will gain some high-level administrative access, but this does not change any integration-specific permissions.

  3. Verification Step: Once the account is linked, you may want to test the integration briefly to confirm everything remains functional. This is a good practice, although disruptions are rare in this process.

Thank you John for the detailed answer. I will definitely check the integration after linking the accounts, but it’s great to know there shouldn’t be any impact.
