How to Use the Ideas Feature

This guide will walk you through the process of sharing your ideas, voting on existing ideas, and tracking the progress of your favorite suggestions within the Docusign community.

 

Accessing the Docusign Community Ideas Platform

  1. Log in to the Docusign Community https://community.docusign.com/

  2. Click on "Ideas" or visit https://community.docusign.com/ideas.

Searching for Existing Ideas

  1. Before posting a new idea, search for existing ideas to see if someone has already submitted a similar suggestion. Use the search bar at the top of the page or browse through the different product areas.

  2. If you find a relevant idea, you can upvote it, comment on it, or subscribe to receive updates on its progress.

Posting a New Idea

  1. Click on the "Create an Idea" button to create a new suggestion.

  2. Fill in the required fields, including the title, description, product area, and tags. Be clear and concise in your explanation, and provide screenshots, examples, or use cases if applicable.

  3. Review and submit your idea.Your idea may reviewed by the corresponding product team during the next ideation review cycle.

    1. Note: Once you post your idea, it can only be edited by a Community Moderator or Administrator.

Voting on Ideas

  1. Browse through the ideas on the platform or search for specific topics that interest you.

  2. When you find an idea you support, click the "Upvote" button to show your agreement. You can also leave comments to provide additional feedback or suggestions.

Tracking Idea Progress

  1. To stay updated on the status of your favorite ideas, click the "Subscribe" button on the idea post page. You'll receive notifications whenever there are updates, such as changes in status or new comments.

  2. Monitor the "Idea Status" section to see which ideas have been implemented or are under consideration.

Note: Ideas are weighted using a number of parameters including number of votes, impact, reach, and alignment with strategic vision and roadmap. It’s never a straight route from Idea submission to implementation, however, once we have accepted an idea in the product backlog, we will make an effort to ensure that the status on the idea reflects the current status of the feature. We aim to give as much transparency as possible with idea statuses so that you have insight into ideas that have been reviewed and/or delivered.
