Is there a way have a rolling, limited date range. Say a 4 year range.

I have a Minor Consent Form that only ages 14-17 can use. Is there a way to use a date field of their birth date to limit entries between that (rolling) 4-year period? Eg. someone too young, say 13 or younger, or, someone too old, 18 or older cannot continue. If I cannot solely use the date field of their birthday via formula to accomplish this, is there a way that I can list 2 date fields that automatically update between that 4-year window and say something like, “Your birthday must fall between Date and Date to use this Consent Form” and tie the birthdate field in via formula so if the birthdate field is outside of that range, it will flag/not let them complete the field and stop the Envelope process. I do have Formula access to my account but am unsure of the best way to accomplish this. If someone has a different Idea to accomplish this or a variant of the process, I am all ears. Thanks so much in advance for any assistance.

This is possible to be set up, but you are required to set up multiple formulas (1. min date, 2. max date, 3. evaluation of both dates, 4. block to continue). In addition,  need to set up conditional fields to block them from continuing and showing the correct error message. It’s possible, but will more feel like a workaround.

Hi @PRMike,

Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community.

At this moment you are only able to use the following date functions on your formulas:

Calculating Days and Dates
Based on these functions you won’t be able to accomplish your goal by using dates, I would recommend having your signer enter their age in a separate text box that could then be related to the rest of the fields as a conditional trigger. You can find more details on how to work with conditional fields, here:

Conditional Fields
Feel free to let us know if you need further assistance with this.
