If I put in a text field that a signer needs to complete, how can I make entry of data into that field mandatory? I don't want them to be able to skip over the field, but be required to complete it.

Thanks

Carl

Hi,

Welcome to the DocuSign Support Community!

Text fields are required (mandatory) by default. If you check over on the control panel on the right side of the screen when you add the text field, you will see that the checkbox next to Required is already checked. For more information:

In the New DocuSign Experience (NDSE), text fields are required by default.  Once you add a text box to the document, check out the sidebar on the right side of the screen.  You should see a "Required field" checkbox there that allows you to make the field required or optional.

Can anyone tell me what the anchor tag for a mandatory text field is?
