We are using Salesforce Minimum Access and System Administrator profiles for users, where they have basic access to objects and fields.

Access to custom fields is granted via the Permission Sets. When I try to generate template I have following error: Could not generate document “Template Name” [103] Please ensure user has access to all the fields in template. 'Activation_Fee__c' Reference ID: f0ee0172-0614-47be-969c-d30eaf2c704d.

I have granted access to this field by assigned Permission Set. When I set this field read and edit on Profile, then the problem is gone. It looks that DocuSign checks access only on Profile level, not the Permission Set.

Can anyone help with that?

Hello @jchmielak,

Thank you for reaching out here in Docusign Community.

  • All field access for Gen has to be set on integration user. Sender doesn't need to have field access for Gen to work as expected.
  • Read Access only is enough for Gen to work as expected.
  • Permission set with field access, when assigned to the integration user, works with Gen.

So the integration user should have the needed permission set to modify the field but the users should only need Generator access in DAL > User Management.

Hi, @marco.tanglao,

I am setting up Docusign in Salesforce. Authorization and connection with Docusign were already established.

Currently I have prepared Envelope Template and Gen Template. When I am trying to generate and Preview the merge field data on document.

Document does not gets generated and attached snap error is thrown.

Current my User is System Admin. It had access of all the fields, which I am using in Document.

I cannot find any integration user in my salesforce org which is dedicated for the Docusign.

How can I resolve this issue.?
