Question

SQL Server Error with DocuSign/Salesforce

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

When trying to send a document via DocuSign within Salesforce, the following error appears:

“A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error:0 - The remote computer refused the network connection.)”

Followed by:  “Argument is undefined.”

Any thoughts on the source/cause of this error?

Hello, @KathyF2112

Welcome to the Docusign Community!

This SQL error seems related to Salesforce. Have you tried to contact Salesforce support? It seems not related to Docusign specifically. In general, Docusign does not use SQL servers.

My suggestion: contact your Docusign eSignature Admin and/or your Salesforce Admin to check if they are using a Connection with Microsoft SQL server, the error says the SQL server is rejecting the TCP connection, also sometimes anti-malware softwares blocks some TCP ports to connect.

I hope that helps!

Alexandre

Follow-up:  This seemed to resolve itself after about an hour, with no changes made on our end (in either Salesforce or DocuSign). Must have been something on the Salesforce end. Thanks!
