Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to use DocuSign to validate that the value entered in a field matches the value entered in a previous field. For example, when collecting banking information such as account and routing numbers, users typically need to confirm the information by entering it a second time. I am concerned that relying on users to check for errors may not be reliable.

I have considered creating two separate text fields for the data, but I believe this would still require the user to manually verify the information. Another idea I had was to use the same data label for both fields, but this still would not catch errors if the user doesn't notice the mistake.

Is there a way to set up DocuSign to automatically check that the values match and alert the user if they don't?

Thanks in advance!🙌🏼

Hello @ManuelVillalobos

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.

I apologize for the inconvenience, I know the importance of having the information displayed as needed. I understand that want to know if there is an option in DocuSign to validate some information that is entered in the text fields.

DocuSign offers custom data validation, allowing users to create more complex validation patterns using regular expressions. This feature enables users to enforce various data definitions, such as bank routing numbers, single digits, US currency values, 24-hour time formats, password criteria, and valid credit card numbers. Examples of regular expressions include restricting passwords to a length of 8 to 20 alphanumeric characters with special characters and matching exactly 1 numeric digit (0-9).

Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific DocuSign plans. Your account plan might not support some options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account. I know nothing about Regex, so it’s not a viable solution. Thanks though!
