User Signs DocuSign but Then DocuSign add a yellow box over the signature and asks for signature again

This issue often arises when two different users in the eSign environment create the same document custom field. In DocuSign, each custom field should ideally have a unique name to prevent conflicts during the signing process. When duplicate custom fields exist, DocuSign may not know which one to apply, which can result in the system displaying a yellow box over the signature and asking the signer to sign again.

Here’s how to resolve it:

1. Identify Duplicate Custom Fields: Review the custom fields in your DocuSign environment and identify any duplicates that may have been created by different users.

2. Rename or Remove Duplicates: Either rename or delete duplicate custom fields so that each field has a unique name. This will prevent DocuSign from getting confused and displaying the yellow box during the signing process.

3. Coordinate with Other Users: If multiple users are responsible for creating custom fields, establish a naming convention to ensure unique custom field names across your organization. This way, you can avoid future conflicts.

These steps should help eliminate the re-signature prompt and allow the signing process to proceed smoothly.
