How to access a partially signed document?

What happens if I have 6 signatures on a document, but only 4 out of the 6 sign it? Can I still obtain a copy of the document with the 4 signatures.

If you specified 6 recipients in the signature workflow and only 4 recipients completed their signature, the envelope is still in a draft status. You may download a copy when accessing the envelope in DocuSign eSignature. However, it is a draft and not a final document, was the signature workflow is not completed.

You can correct the envelope and remove the two recipients that have not signed the envelope, which will then result in a completed envelope as the signature workflow is complete. Be aware that only 4 signatures will be present and the resulting PDF cannot be edited again without breaking the platform seal to apply the missing two additional signatures.

Just to clarify,
When I download the partial (Draft) I will still see all the signatures?

Yes, if you download the partially completed document, it should include all fields that have been completed by your recipients.

I want to get a Board Resolution signed by 5 Directors. However, I don’t know if all of them will approve it. I need to be able to demonstrate that majority of the Directors signed and approved it (e.g. 3 out of 5). Is there a way to provide for an envelope completion like that?

There is not an option to set a minimum of recipients needed to complete an envelope.

By default eSignature will expect all recipients to complete their action before the status is changed to “Completed”. This makes all recipients in an envelope required as well.
