How does DocuSign handle no set signing order with multiple signers?

For instance, say a document needed three different signatures, but the sender didn't care about the order those signatures were added. Since there is no signing order, all three signers get the email to sign at the same time. If Person A signs before Person B, does Person B sign a version which includes Person A's signature, or does Person B sign a blank version? Does DocuSign have a way to add all those signatures to the same document?

Or would it be best practice to always include signing order, even if not necessary?

Once somebody signs, the values they submitted become a part of the document.  So, if Person A signs before Person B, Person B will see Person A's signature.  In your example, the signatures from all signers will appear in the completed envelope.  One advantage of having everybody at the same routing order is that nobody is waiting on anybody else and the envelope is likely to complete faster.

Thanks so much! That wasn't explained in the Signing Order help article I found, so I didn't know if there was a solution without a signing order.
