how do you add fields to multiple recipients in a bulk send at once?

I understand you would like to send a document to several recipients.

If you are looking to send the same document to many recipients at the same time (and are looking for a more feasible way to do it), you should consider using Bulk Sending.   

With Bulk Sending, you can use a .csv list of your recipients and upload that file during the envelope creation process. Once the list is uploaded, the rest of the envelope creation workflow will remain the same as sending out a single envelope for signing.

We recommend coupling the Bulk Send process with a template. You’ll be able to download the data from the template’s .csv file, which includes column headers specific to your roles and fields (if needed).

Yes

I need each of them to sign the document separately. So sending same doc to 19 people but need 19 signed docs. Is this possible with bulk send?

Yes, I would recommend creating a template for the needed document. Once you have that created select "Use" and there is an option in the recipient section that says import bulk list, if you click that you will have the option to download a sample CSV, which will give you the document so that you can add your recipients. Note, each row is a separate envelope, and each column is a field in the envelope.

How do I Transition to Bulk Send v2?

It looks like you are trying to add the bulk send directly on the template, you need to create the template first with only the recipients, documents and fields. After it is created, and you select Save and Close, go to:

  1. The templates tab
  2. Locate the template you just created and select "Use"
  3. From the new screen that appears, you may see the option marked in the image below
