How do I make an editorial change in a form? Either a misspelled word or to add words?

I understand you would like to make a change to a form.

Would this be directly on the form or on the fields added to the form (including the recipient's name and email, email subject, or email message)?

If it is directly on the form, then sadly it is not possible, you would need to edit the documents using a third-party application outside of DocuSign.

If it is the fields and so, then you can apply changes to any envelope or recipient that has not been marked as completed.  

Once a recipient completes their action (or the envelope), the system will not accept any further alterations.
