A user has enquired about extending the expiration of an envelope. The expiration of envelopes in our environment is controlled centrally as a system-wide setting, so our users cannot change envelope expirations there.

If a new document or signatory is added to an existing envelope (which is due to expire shortly) does this extend the expiry date for the envelope overall, ie for other signers? Or is there no other way to extend the expiry?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.

I apologize for the inconvenience, I understand that you want to know if a new document or signatory is added to an existing envelope does this extend the expiration date?

Unfortunately no, only by increasing the value of "Number of days before request expires" by however many additional days you would like to extend the expiration. Will work.

If needed the Admin will need to change the account-wide setting to enable the change.
