Check for valid address

Hi, We use DocuSign to get prospective tenants sign lease agreements. One of the fields in the lease is an address that the tenant has to enter. Is there a way to check the validity of the address as it is entered? This would help avoid typographical errors or some using incorrect addresses. Thanks.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Docusign Community.

We currently don’t have the option to verify the address the customer entered in the field where they need to place it.

I highly suggest placing the envelope into a signing order and making yourself the last recipient to complete it. This way, you will have time to review the envelope and ensure all information input by the recipients is correct; if not, you can send a new envelope.

Thanks. A related question is whether we can have conditional fields. For example, if we have an image of rental applicant’s driver’s license in the lease document, I’d like provide him an option to enter the correct address if the license has an old address in it.

Hello @Wingrove,

Yes, you can set up a pair of Radio Buttons to have a Conditional Rule that would allow your signer to enter their new address if needed.
