Change name of subscriber after first signature

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hello,

in our company we have numerous employees who just need to sign documents and who do not need or do not want to have an own DocuSign user account. When these colleagues receive an envelope to sign for the first time, they enter their name and initials and choose a signature style. Now it has happened more often that some of these colleagues have forgotten a prefix that they have to put in front of their name. Is there a way for these colleagues to customize their name after their first signature, i.e. add the prefix, without having to have a DocuSign account?

I found the solution to change it in the “Signature Adoption Configuration”/Lock recipients name but I only see these settings in our developer account, not in our live-account. I am an org admin and we obtain an individual DocuSign volume-based plan for our company.

Best regards,

Katrin

Hello @Katrin

if that’s the case then you have to reach out to the DocuSign Support and raise the ticket from live account or that setting can be enabled from the backend and complete details of, what are the advance features included in your plan.

Thanks!

Hello @Katrin

Welcome to the DocuSign Community!

if they have adopted a signature before or need to change it, you can select a signature by clicking on the signature added to the document and then click on Change, you should be able to see a list of your saved signature and initials to choose from or click + ADD to add a new signature.

here are some DS links:

Change your signature
Change your signature or adopt a custom signature

Some point to consider:
1. Just to have multiple signatures, DocuSign account is required.
2. Do not lock the name for recipients.
3. First-time signers cannot modify their signature after the initial signature adoption.

hope it helps!

Thank you for your reply but I need a solution for point 3, the change of signature after the initial signature for users who do not have a DocuSign-Account. I do not see the “lock recipients” option in our live-account-administration.

So lock recipients name & email will be visible in advance setting while preparing the envelope. and that depends on DocuSign plan, some advanced features and options are supported only in specific DocuSign plans.

We have 1000+ documents to sign and I can not be sure that I can't be sure that every colleague is paying attention. Is there a way to deactivate the “lock recipient” option centrally as an admin?

And unfortunately, I do not see these signing setting options in our test and live account.

As mentioned, we have an individual volume plan up to 4.999 envelopes per year so I suppose these options should be available to us.

In our developer account I can see the “Signature Adoption Configuration” (see screenshots attached; we are from Germany, so the screenshot is in German) and it is possibile for recipients to change their name when signing. I disabled to lock recipient option. In the admin area of the live account, I don't see the “Signature Adoption Configuration” at all. What could be the reason for this?

I would also like to add that I can also see the advanced settings (i.e. “erweiterte Einstellungen”) when sending in the test account, but not in the live account. I have placed both admin interfaces next to each other and the settings are identical in the developer and live account. What could be the reason for this?
