Hi. A user’s draft envelope expired after 30 days. Is there any way to retrieve the envelope so that they don’t have to rebuild it? (its a sizeable envelope).

@David K

No, after an envelope has been purged from the system is cannot be restored.

  • Draft. For an envelope you created and then saved without sending. Draft envelopes are stored in your account for 30 days from the date they were created. After 30 days, drafts are removed from your account and purged from the system.

See this DocuSign Support Article for more information.

Thanks, that is what I suspected.

Is there anywhere whilst creating drafts that it details they will expire in 30 days?

Drafted up over 200+ documents in April, only for them to now be all gone 2 days before going to send them. If I had known this, would have not wasted hours of work and waited.

Hello @Kristyn ,

Welcome to the Docusign Community and thank you for posting your concerns!

I’m sorry to hear that your drafts have been removed, I understand your frustration and all the hard work you put in to those documents.

You can find the drafts retention period in the following article, unfortunately these can not be recovered: Envelope Status

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.
