Does DocuSign support checking for unique template names?

Is there a way to validate during template creation that the template has a unique name within a folder or an account? Ex. A template with the name "Template 123" already exists so no other template can have that name.

I didn't see this feature available on the website or the API but I wanted to double-check in case I missed something. Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to the DocuSign Community.

Yes, there is a feature in the backend that enforces name uniqueness for templates, you would need to contact DocuSign Support to have it enabled. If you are an admin you can contact them, if you are a user please contact your admin to enable and disable features we need admin approval.

Please let us know if you require further assistance.

You can always create a case to have a Support agent work the case with you.

If you are not able to open the case on the same page, you should scroll down to More Support Options and select "I can't reset my password or don't have an account." you will have the option of filling out the form or calling Support.
