One of my users can't upload any documents sending an envelope. Only option available is Use a Template.

 

The user applied these steps:

 

  1. Logged into DocuSign
  2. Click on "Drop documents to get started or click the 'Start' button."
  3. Click "Send an envelope"
  4. On the Add document section click "Upload"
  5. The only option that appears in the dropdown is "Use a template"

 

Typically, we would have the following options:

  • Browse
  • Use a template
  • Box
  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive
  • OneDrive

What is the reason that the user is unable to see the other options?

Possibly your user cannot edit templates due to permission profiles. If you update the permission profile they can edit templates and add documents as needed. 

 

To confirm which permissions the user has, confirm their User Profile, then go to Admin > Users & Groups > Permission Profiles.

  • Select the user Permission Profile, and click on the Edit Button;
  • Go to the Panel "User Permissions", and check the options available for Templates.
