Dear all,

I am exhausted.

I am working on the workflow. One of the steps is review and send for external review. It was working fine until it...stopped.

When the Review and Send for External Review step is executed, you can define the email address and email content... all required fields are completed and the result of the step is Canceled - Invalid recipient. It does not matter which email address I use. It can be one from the directory (choose one of the account users) or a completely different external one - tested and works - the result is the same. The same happens when I use the "Send for external review" feature manually from the document preview level, the feature simply does not work.

I have access to another account and everything works there and I really know how the feature works. I have also used it hundreds of times.

Any idea? Any settings for recipient verifications or so?

OK, I am trying further,

I have found that I can use other documents as attachments for external review. These documents have been attached via the document generation form or even generated via the XML merge document workflow step. And it works fine. However, when I try to send the document generated via the document generation configuration that triggers further workflow, Send for External Review fails with the following result:

trying send another document I can do that using the same email address without any issues. 

Any idea?

The reason for fail iExternal review output: Cancelled - Invalid Recipient] are two which I am gonna put it like Major or Minor.

1. Major = Major reason for this kind of failure is the Document file extension is missing in the document. You have check the document that you are sending for review has file type extension or not.

2. Minor = It can be because of that invalid user is in the blacklist of DocuSign and to verify this you have to reach out to support and check.

OK, I have the solution.

It’s trivial error, I write it here - it may happen anybody will find it useful.

The issue was I have renamed the generated file but simply skipped .docx file extension. 

It’s my fault, but This still does not explain why CLM reported “Invalid recipient” instead of “wrong file format” or something like that.

Anyway issue is solved.

Thank you, I have not noticed your answer, and at the end I have figure it out by myself. That is a pitty, I would save 2 hours. But the first point was the one. Anyway - thank you very much!!
