DocuSign support states that they do not support .p7m protocol, it is CAdES.

DocuSign only supports PaDES. The envelopes are from Italy. They must use the following link to unencrypted https://vol.postecert.poste.it/verificatore/it

When the docs are unencrypted, the original does not have signatures. The signatures are on a page that is blank except for signatures.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the DocuSign Community.

In DocuSign, we only offer signatures on the PaDES format (digital signature on a .PDF file).

Other formats that exist are XaDES (.XML format signature) and CaDES (.p7m format signature), I’m afraid that sadly, we do not offer these two.

Thank you for using DocuSign, we hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!

Good Morning, I’m Massimo and I’m the Business Developer here in itAgile the Italian Partner that developed the P7M Solution for DocuSign.

First of all, why does DS not support the P7M format? The answer is simple, the P7M format is a blob and not a file.

How do we manage the P7M? We manage them outside of Docusign with our application SmartDS which, given a warning (we use a renamed Signature Field) that tells SmartDS that the documents in the envelope must be signed in P7M by the indicated signatory (must have an Automatic TrustPro Qualified Signature). The signed file is then attached to an email and sent to the sender of the envelope and the signatory.
