Hello,

Thank you for posting to the New DocuSign Community!

To help ensure your Recipients are taking the care you would like when signing an agreement there are some different Auto-Navigation settings you may use. In a nutshell, you can choose to have signers moved to the top of each page in a documents, to each required field, every field or a combinations of these three options.

The following resource will provide detailed information:

In my opinion you can't force a Recipient or Signer to read the associated document prior to completing their required fields, whether that be a signature or other. However, whether this is a legal document or a syllabus or a grocery list, it seems that it is in the best interest of the Recipient to understand what they are signing. The facts are that you have a document with a signature along with a complete history and certificate of the entire transaction, which is proof in many legal realms that they read, reviewed, and agreed to the conditions put forth. Also if you are using this as a Supplement, you can make then scroll through the document and select an "Accept" button. At the end of the day, however, this falls to the Recipient to read the document.
