Question

The maximum number of available envelopes has been reached

Hello everyone,

I’ve noticed that some accounts are showing a message when they log in, saying: "The maximum number of available envelopes has been reached. You need to upgrade in order to request a signature/seal."

As an admin, I’ve tried to check the activity for these accounts through my admin panel, but I’m not seeing any results. Since this is related to sender accounts and paid envelopes, I’m unsure of how to proceed.

If anyone has insights or suggestions, or if you’re experiencing this issue, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you!

Hi @Alma !

This error occurs when users create Free Trials accounts directly from Docusign website. Free Trials accounts are limited to up 10 envelopes.

If you have a paid account and have already sent them an invitation to activate their users, this means that they have two accounts linked to the same email address (yes, you’re allowed to have more than one account under the same email).
To confirm this, simply compare the account number they are accessing vs. the number of your paid account.

In this case, the affected user will have two options. Use the Switch Account and access the corporate account (you can even leave it as default) or contact the technical support team and ask to close the free account.

I hope this can answer your question!
