Hello,

I hope all are well.

We have a CLM workflow connected to Doc Gen form. On this form, we have an option to enter 3rd party’s signatory’s name and email. Now we wish to add additional signatory, perhaps as reviewer/ approver etc. We know the form can be modified to include these additional details, however we are curious to check if this can be done in e-signature by way of a template or another way we don’t know yet.

We would be grateful for any help provided in this matter.

Thanks,

Usman

Hello @m.usman

Welcome to the DocuSign Community!

I understand that you want to add 3rd party signatory, but can you tell me will that person be the constant or it will be dynamic or can be change?

Thanks!

Hi Pawan,

The third party signatory would be dynamic and would change constantly. Thank you for your help!

Thanks,

Usman

Hello @m.usman

if the signatory is dynamic then I would suggest capturing it at Doc gen form level and bring that in workflow for make is easy to dynamic. though you can add the placeholder for 3rd party signatory in “Review and send for signature” and later when user prepare the envelope then they can enter the 3rd party signatory details.

Thanks!

Hi @Pawan Gangwani

Thank you for the suggestion, I somewhat have an idea about how it works with doc gen, however would you be able to briefly list down steps as to how it will work using “send for signature” step.

Thanks!

Hello @m.usman

One way: Add the 3rd recipient like shown in snapshot, and pass the normal value.

second way from eSignature: Create one template without any doc, just add one recipient, as I have added in snapshot and assign the singing order.

in result it will be like:

Hope it helps!

Hello @Pawan Gangwani

I have gone through the options and have developed a bit of understanding, would you be kind to advise which of these options would work as optional, I want to add these for both sender and recipient. I am thinking to add optional secondary approver/ signer/ viewer for both sender and recipient in the doc gen form, however I am not sure how to keep them optional in the Send for signature step in workflow.

Thank you in advance!

okay, In the “Review and Send for Signature” step you cannot mark recipients optional or specify. but here is one thing you can do.

I believe you are capturing all these signer and optional signers' details in Intake Form, right? Then create 2 templates in DocuSign eSignature where in one all the mandatory and optional signatory will be configured and in second you can keep only mandatory signatories.

now take 2 “Review and Send for Signature” steps in workflow. then create one check using decision step that will check if “Optional Signatory” details are applicable or not and then route the path to different “Send for Signature” step and where you select the template which you created in eSignature.

I am sure it will require some testing and configuration plan. But let me know.

Thanks Pawan!

Yes the signer and optional signer along with other details are captured through doc gen form!

I will look at the options you suggested and come back to you!
