I’m a realtor and I have been using Docusign for a while now.  We have a form called a Seller Property Disclosure that asks the owner a lot of questions.  The form has circles where the receiver is supposed to be able to answer the questions by hitting the space by.  My last 2 clients that received this form were unable to answer the questions. I can see that they can fill out the spaces on my end, prior to sending it.  What am I doing wrong or is there something they need to do on their end.  It used to work-no problem-now all of a sudden.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello @ewhitney,

Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Docusign Community! We appreciate your question and want to assure you that we are fully committed to providing you with the best service possible.

I understand  the the last 2 clients who received your form could not answer the questions from the envelope. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

To be clear, are you referring to Checkboxes? Currently, checkboxes are always optional fields when signing. You can use Validation on the checkboxes to make them somewhat required. Article: Checkbox Fields

Also, when you mentioned that they can fill out the spaces on your end, prior to sending it, are you referring to prefill fields ( Article: Pre-fill Document Fields ) or are you talking about the Preview feature? If the field is grey, it's a prefill field, which means the sender needs to fill it out before sending it. Currently, there is no option to convert pre-fill field to a recipient field.

I hope I understood and answered your question. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
