A document I am signing  should have both my name and my husband's signature in one box. When chosing my signature, I erased my husband's name and hit save. Now only my name shows up. How can I change the signature to include both of our names? When I click on the sign tab, my name only pops up. There is no option to edit or change the signature.

@SAN1

DocuSign is designed so that each signer’s name (and signature) is tied to their own DocuSign profile or identity. If you need both you and your husband to sign the same document, the usual workflow is to invite each of you as separate signers so that each person’s signature is uniquely attributed to them.

Both my name and my husband’s name were set by the original individual creating the document. When I chose my signature, both names were there.  I deleted my husband’s name accidentally thinking he would sign separately, but both names were created to be in the same signature box. I did not finalize the document, but changed the name to only mine and now I cannot go back and change it to “Jane and John Smith” and there is no separate signature box for my husband to sign separately.  I tried to change my signature in my account to both names, but it still populates only mine.

Is there a way to find documents tied to my email through my account?

@SAN1

It sounds like the signature field was configured by the sender to display both of your names as one single “signer” (i.e., “Jane and John Smith” in a single signature). Unfortunately, once you change that name to only yours within the signing session, you typically cannot revert it yourself—especially if the DocuSign envelope settings are locked down or if your account permissions do not allow you to fully edit your “adopted” signature details.

Below are your practical next steps to resolve this:

Ask the Sender to “Correct” the Envelope

Attempt to “Decline to Sign” and Have the Sender Resend

Double-Check Your DocuSign “Preferences” for Name & Signature
