Hello,

I have a user that I am helping saying that her envelope that was set to expire in 60 days, expired sooner than that, within two days. What can cause that and how can we resolve this, thank you.

@PeterB

If your envelope voided before its expiration date, it’s possible one of the recipients declined to sign. You can verify this by reviewing the envelope history, which details all actions taken by recipients. If someone declined, this would automatically void the envelope and prevent further signing. Let me know if you’d like guidance on accessing the envelope history.

John,

Thank you for your response. However, the issue was not resolved. We checked the history and there are no decline status on the envelopes. Any additional help is appreciated.

Hi Peter.  If the envelope is actually expired, the recipient would not be able to access it at all and the envelope status would show up as expired.

If that is not the case, what’s happening is that the recipient is seeing an expiration of the email notification link.  The link themselves have an expiration period of 48 hours or 5 clicks, whichever comes first.  If the recipient clicks on the link again after it has expired they will just get a message letting them know that the link is expired and that a new link is being sent to their email.  This is for security purposes so that links aren’t out there for too long.
