Have you ever needed an envelope recipient to approve or decline a document without the need to have their signature or initial visible on the document itself ?
In that case, the Approve and Decline fields are just what you want ! If the recipient clicks the Approve field, that person is considered to have signed the document and whilst no information appears on the document itself, it is recorded as a signature in the envelope’s history. Similarly, the Decline field allows the recipient to decline signing.
Take a look at this Trainer Tip video in which Product Trainer Erik Engelstad shows you how these fields can be used.
Key Take-aways:
- Approve or decline documents in an envelope without placing a signature or initials on the document.
- Selecting Approve signifies the recipient has signed. It doesn’t add information to the document but records an "Approved" action in the Document history.
- The Decline field functions such as Decline to Sign. The recipient must provide a reason for declining. The action and reason are recorded in the Document history.
