Do you feel that your documents might be a bit overwhelming for your recipients because of the number of fields you’ve added?  As envelope senders, we want to make the document completion process as simple and efficient as we can for our recipients, so it’s important that we don’t confuse them with fields on the document that aren’t required or necessary to be populated.

We want to streamline the process for them and only display fields to be populated that are specific to their use case and keep any other fields that aren’t necessary as hidden.

To accomplish this, you can implement Conditional Fields within your documents

Conditional fields only appear to the recipient when a specified condition is met. You can hide conditional fields until the recipient makes an entry in your documents that triggers the fields to show, such as selecting a dropdown option or marking a checkbox.

Watch this short video on Conditional Fields from our Trainer Tip series with me, Glen Steinhardt to learn how to make your documents more dynamic!

Key Take-aways:

  • Conditional Fields can help make your documents more dynamic and efficient for your recipients.
  • Conditional fields can allow you to implement a conditional workflow….guiding your recipients through only the most appropriate fields on your document that need to be populated.
  • You can create a ‘trigger’ field on your document to reveal a collection of specified fields necessary for your recipient to populate.  This will ensure relevant and required fields are populated for that specific recipient and for their specific use case.
